Are you a jewelry hound or a jewelaphobic??

Designer Michael Kors, who has a new jewelry collection out, gives you some rules to dress by.  Keep these tips in mind when you go for that finishing touch for that great outfit you've been dying to wear!

1. PUT A RING ON IT

DO wear a single bold oversized ring as a glamorous exclamation point.  They can be worn day and night.  Many fashionistas like yourself, love the oversized ring.  It makes a fashion statement.

DON'T pair big rings with long, colorful nails - you'll look like a strange blend of vintage hip-hop and drag queen.

2. STACK UP ON CUFFS

DO invest in gold or silver cuff bracelets.  They go beautifully with sleeveless tops and dresses.

DON'T forget to keep cuffs in proportion with you:  Smaller girl equals smaller cuffs.

3. MIX METALS OR GEMS, NOT BOTH

DO mix metal colors.  Try white gold and pink gold together, for instance.

DON'T pile on a mix of colored gemstones and different metals.  Then you're veering into Christmas tree territory.  That is overdoing it.

 4. KNOW WHEN TO ROCK BIG HOOP EARRINGS

DO try a minimalist hoop earring with a simple ponytail or sleek chignon, and even with very straight hair which is a great take on a classic style.

DON'T pair giant hoops with a head of curly hair - you're just one tamborine shy of a Halloween costume.

5. KEEP THE CHUNK TO A MINIMUM

DO wear chunky chain-link necklaces and bracelets with simple clothes.  It's sporty chic with a status edge.

DON'T forget to keep your clothes metal-free - no studs! - when wearing out there jewelry.  Too many bold links and spikes are for biker babes.

So for all of us out there that don't want to make a fashion jewelry faux-pas, keep those little tips in mind and you'll be the next girl who rocks the world knowing how to put it all together!!
